NOXERIOR is pleased to announce that the French company NOVAIR recently became its new 100% owner, which has united two well-known manufacturers in the international industrial gas market with different, but very complementary, activities.
For nearly forty years, NOVAIR has been active in the field of designing and manufacturing of non-cryogenic on-site gas systems, including medical and industrial PSA oxygen & nitrogen generators, air and vacuum units, cylinder filling systems, air & gas boosters and compressors, as well as the design and installation of distribution pipeline systems for compressed gases.
Over the same period, NOXERIOR has specialized in on-site oxygen and nitrogen generators, with focus on the hollow-fibre membrane and the modular PSA technologies, as well as a strong competency in complex engineering projects for EPC customers.

Oscar de Groen has a long track record with non-cryogenic air separation systems. After an initial experience as market developer and afterwards as national product manager for on-site membrane nitrogen generators for an industrial gas company in Germany, he moved to Italy where he developed the company NOXERIOR from a small local workshop to an international supplier with an excellent reputation among all market players. “After more than eighteen years of experience with NOXERIOR, it was the right moment to accept the offer from NOVAIR for both the company and myself” added de Groen. “I prefer to leave the company and to concentrate on new professional challenges for my personal future in order to create the best possible condition for NOVAIR to integrate NOXERIOR in their existing organisation.”

“Our main objectivewas to reduce energy consumption and to make our nitrogen and oxygen generators ready for Industry 4.0 by dedicating special attention to the data exchange options of the control system of each standard generator.” explains de Groen. “Our patented modular design for the unique NITROSWING® and OXYSWING® PSA nitrogen and oxygen generators allowed once again a maximum level of standardization, so that even the smallest models have all necessary features to integrate them easily within so-called Smart Factories. Different from many other suppliers, optional instrumentation, like moisture analysers, pressure and temperature transmitters, has been integrated in the process piping inside the cabinet of each generator, instead of loosely supplied components. The Siemens based standard control system with touch screen HMI, identical for all three product lines, includes methods of self-diagnosis and self-optimization, like the automatic regeneration procedure through theblow-off of off-spec gas in case of an insufficient nitrogen or oxygen purity. Maintenance intervals or eventual system failures will be monitored automatically in combination with real-time communication to the user through Profinet Industrial Ethernet Interface, Profibus DP or Modbus RTU. Besides, the user has the possibility to start or stop his nitrogen or oxygen generator or to reset process parameter counters remotely, even by means of a special App developed by NOXERIOR for smartphones or tablets. In case hardwired data connections would not be possible, each nitrogen or oxygen generator can even be supplied with an own Wi-Fi module. Last but not least, the control system of each of our nitrogen and oxygen generators includes the capability to store all process data with an interval of one minute for a continuous period of 450 days as standard scope of supply.”

NOXERIOR is proud to announce that it was awarded with an important order for the supply of a
large membrane nitrogen generation plant to the mining industry in Oceania with a total value of
2.000 kUSD in July 2015.
The ordered plant will be able to produce 3.000 Nm³/h (1,900 scfm) of nitrogen with a purity of max.
1,0 vol.% of residual oxygen and will be suitable for outdoors installation. The required compressed
air will be supplied by a water-cooled centrifugal air compressor with a rated power of 1,7 MW with
a special designed weather protection canopy. The nitrogen generation part of the plant will be
turn-key installed inside a dedicated ISO freight container. The entire nitrogen generation plant will
be tested in presence of the customer in Italy before shipment to the final destination in the summer
of next year.
With this important project NOXERIOR has confirmed once again its market position as competent
and experienced supplier of custom-built packages for the on-site generation of gaseous nitrogen.

NOXERIOR will exhibit its new NITROMEM® membrane nitrogen generators in Hall 26 – Booth B69 during the upcoming ComVac 2015 / Hannover Trade Show from April 13 until April 17, 2015.
In February 2015 NOXERIOR supplied successfully a duplex (1 working + 1 stand-by) skid mounted instrument air package for the Boufarik Power Plant of the Société Algérienne de Production de l’Electricité (SPE) in Algeria.
Each skid of the package includes one oil-free rotary screw compressor with 180 kW drive motor and a special heatless adsorption dryer designed by NOXERIOR, which is able to produce 1.000 Nm³/h of instrument air at a pressure dew point below –40 °C at ambient temperatures up to 45 °C. All pressure vessels of the plant have been certified by the Algerian Autorité de Régulation des Hydrocarbures (ARH, previously DPP) and all project documentation was supplied in French language. A fully automatic and unattended operation of the entire package will be guaranteed by local instrumentation with Smart/HART signal loop powered transmitters and a local Unit Control Panel (UCP) with a heavy-duty PLC based control system.
With this important project NOXERIOR has demonstrated again its competence and experience with the design and manufacturing of special instrument air packages which in addition require specific documentation and approvals. Our well-known reliability was confirmed by supplying the instrument air package and related spare parts within the contractual delivery time without punch list and without any penalty payment.
